Kathy Drawbridge
Favorite animal: Abby the Donkey She is the leading lady here at the farm. She is the humble caretaker who makes sure every animal is taken care for. A wonderful lady who wishes to share the history of the farm, as well as educate the visitors about the many species of animals we take care of. |
Brenda Wilberding
Favorite Animal: Danny the goat and/or cat. She is a local, from Fremont Nebraska, who has grown up around the farm when the current owners moved in. She was only 6 years old when they did, and ever since they came in, she has fallen in love with the place, and what it stands for. She loves the freedom, history, animals, connection to nature, and the kind people who help us run our farm. She has plenty of stories/experiences from growing up around the place and wants to help people share those same experiences with their family and friends. |
Angela Osterloh
Favorite Animal: All of them Back in 2004, she heard about The Old Poor Farm from some of her friends, Linda and Keith Cunningham. Ever since then, she has wanted to bring awareness, and the community support that her hometown, Fremont, Nebraska, can bring. She hopes you guys come on down and find peace, sense of belonging, and a bit of history here with us. |
Kelsey Brown
Favorite Animal: Donkey She is from Tuscon, Arizona, and had first heard about the farm in the Spring of 2021, when she signed up her team (Midland Tennis) to volunteer. After that, she has fallen in love with the farm, and has volunteered whenever she could. She hopes to continue the mission of The Old Poor Farm, and help neglected animals find their forever home. She also would like to help people learn our Nebraskan history here, as well as some inner peace with some of the simpler things in life that you can find here. She has done a lot for The Old Poor Farm, including the new, snazzy logo we have up today. On top of all of that, she has a bachelor's degree in wildlife biology. |
